General News

  1. Archiology updated

    New disc images have been added to the Archiology site, a collection of old software and information from Acorn's past.


  2. WimpBasic programs

    Wimpbasic.org All of the programs held on the Wimpbasic.org site have been tested on Aemulor on the Iyonix. 80% of the programs work without any problem, with just over 5% failing to work at all.

    Wimpbasic.org has been developed to be a central support site for users of the Wimpbasic programming tool and those who use the programs developed. It holds many of the programs that have been written along with other generally useful information.

  3. Pluto v3 Manual

    The Pluto manual is an attempt to collect all the documentation for this popular mail reader. Originally based on the Docs and History files supplied with Pluto, the manual also contains information added by experienced users over the years.

    This has been produced as a StrongHelp manual for Pluto, and it has now been updated to include the additional facilities of Pluto v3. The manual has a total of over 210 StrongHelp pages, or over 120 A4 text pages.

    The StrongHelp manual and a plain text version are now available for download from http://www.avisoft.force9.co.uk/Pluto.htm, along with alternative Templates and Sprite files for Pluto.

  1. CJE/NCS on-line price list

    The CJE/NCS price list http://www.cjemicros.co.uk/prices/ now comprises 2400+ RISC OS related products, including over 670 individual product pages with descriptions and specifications, over 100 of which have product images. Most items listed are available from stock.

    Products are organised in 12 groups and 102 categories, and a search facility http://www.cjemicros.co.uk/micros/search.shtml is also available.

    Castle Technology's new web browser, Oregano 2, is now on sale, priced at GBP99 including VAT.

    • DDF2Html v1.00

      Convert Impression DDF to HTML. Improved memory management, multitasks, many improvements to HTML output, supports special styles for adding HTML comments and links.


    • EXIFinfo v0.59

      Generates files containing the information hidden inside the EXIF files (JPEGs) produced by digital cameras. 32bit compatible and can now also be from the command line by external programs.


    • NetWatch v1.64

      Notifies you when specified web pages change. 32bit compatible, new 'Open main' button which reports that a filebase item is changed, faster downloading, bug fixes.


    • Organizer v1.57

      Desktop personal organiser, featuring a calendar, diary, journal, alarm system, anniversary reminders, address book and notes sections. This version is 32bit compatible, has user-definable address book views, allowed a variable number of addresses per page, and has a message protocol so that other applications can read and modify Organizer's address-book database. Shareware.


    • OSLib v6.50

      A set of functions and C headers to provide complete coverage of the RISC OS application programmer's interface in C. OSLib 6.50 contains all the latest RO5 API calls, plus a few minor bug-fixes.


    • PDF v2.01.1.11

      PDF (Adobe Acrobat) file viewer for RISC OS. Upgraded to xpdf2.01.


    • POPstar v2.05

      POP e-mail client. Now 32 bit compatible and has SMTP AUTH support.


    • Verma v0.20

      Displays detailed information about Modules that are located in memory or on disc. 32bit compatible, new display modes, interactive help.


    • Z80Tube v1.10

      Emulates a Z80 coprocessor attached to an Acorn RISC OS computer. 32bit compatible.
