General News

The APDL PD library now available online

There has recently been a lot of interest in some of the older Public Domain and Freeware programs for RISC OS computers. As the oldest RISC OS PD library, APDL has a massive collection of this material, much of which is not available elsewhere. Although this can still be obtained very cheaply on CD this is not always a suitable medium.

APDL have therefore decided to make almost their entire PD library available from the APDL web site. This is done on a disc-by-disc basis and so reflects the original PD library catalogue system.

Wakefield Show

Provisional details of the exhibitors and theatre schedule for Wakefield 2010 have been released on the show web site. Now in its 15th year, the North's premier RISC OS show will be taking place on Saturday, 24th April, at the Cedar Court Hotel, just off the M1 near Wakefield.

Lua videos and ROUGOL meeting

Back in January, Gavin Wraith gave an excellent presentation at ROUGOL about the programming language Lua and its use on RISC OS. ROUGOL received several requests, from inside and outside the RISC OS world, for it to be recorded. The videos are now available, in both high quality Matroska format and RISC OS friendly MPEG format.
