The event will be open from 10am to 3.30pm and will feature the usual exhibitors and a few new ones. This year there will be a small entrance fee of GBP3 for adults. Commercial News --------------- 1) New pricing structure for RISC OS Select membership As was announced at the London RISC OS Show, RISCOS Ltd. have made a couple of changes to the options for versions of RISC OS that you can obtain via the Select Scheme. If you want to try out RISC OS Six, a Single User version of RISC OS 6.10 is now available for just GBP39. This option also allows you to upgrade to a full Select subscription within 30 days by paying the difference. If you want to use the latest version of RISC OS Six you can now pay either 6 monthly or 12 monthly. The 12 month subscription remains at GBP99, while 6 month option costs GBP55 before the end of this year or GBP65 thereafter. Free CDs will only be sent to members who have at least 12 months previous continuous membership. New members, and those whose subscription lapsed more than 12 months ago, will only be able to obtain CDs of each new release at a price of GBP12 per CD. 2) Impact 3.35 available Impact is an easy-to-use relational database system for RISC OS. A new version is now available for download from: This upgrade is free to anyone who is using versions 3.32 to 3.34. Upgrade prices for those who are on version 3.31 or earlier are shown on the web site. A full list of changes can be seen at: 3) R-Comp release PDF Suite Pro The PDF Suite allows almost any RISC OS application to generate PDF documents which can be read on almost any computer platform. The new edition, known as PDF Suite Pro, updates the main PDFmaker software and includes the new PostScript 3 driver. The standard edition of PDF Suite (GBP20) remains available, as a cost effective way of making PDFs on your RISC OS computer. However, users wishing to make heavier use of the software, with more complex documents, will appreciate the benefits of the new Pro edition, which costs GBP55. Upgrades from the original are available for GBP39. PD/Shareware News ----------------- 1) Updated software summary * JDServer v0.02 A print server using the Jet Direct protocol originated by Hewlett Packard. This version can run without an iconbar icon. * MBBack v7 Backdrop randomiser. Several new features. * SuperDoku v1.22 An advanced Sudoku generating and solving program. Bug fixes.
